The Jewel Concert

Chad and I had a wonderful time at the Jewel concert. She was so AMAZING to hear live. She did the entire concert acoustic and even answered the crowd's questions they had for her and took requests for what her fans wanted to hear her sing. Her new stuff was great and I can't wait for her to come out with her new lullaby CD. She of course sang a lot of our favorites like Hands, Foolish Games, You Were Meant for Me, Intuition, and Standing Still. She told incredibly funny stories and has a cute personality. We were able to get corporate box seats so we could see her perfect throughout the entire concert. The dinner we had was also great. All in all it was a successful birthday date night. Thanks to Chad's parent's for watching the kiddos for us.

Countdown to the Jewel Concert

I am taking Chad as part of his birthday present to see Jewel in concert tomorrow night. I am so excited! I hope she sings some of her old stuff, as well as, her new. We have great seats, so I hope to sneak a pic with our camera. Chad and I listened to some of her music last night and now I can hardly wait! It's always nice to have a date night, but we haven't been to a concert together since before we had Peyton.

Back to the Gym

Yesterday I began going back to the gym. Chad thought this would be a nice idea since it's been so cold outside. After his run yesterday he suggested joining the gym again. I had such a great time last night running again. I've been sick for about the past two weeks. My cold has just lingered. I didn't run as fast as I would have liked to last night since I still have a little bit of a cough and runny nose, but it felt really good to get back into it. I ran four miles last night and felt great when I got home. It's a nice break to get out of the house and get rid of some stress. Thanks Chad for being such a great husband to me and daddy to our girls!

What to Do?

Okay, Kameron has officially found out how to climb in and out of her crib. Now, we're not sure what to do. Should we go ahead and convert the crib to her full size bed and put the safety rails up? Or do we continue to let her climb in and out for a while and hope she doesn't fall and hurt herself? She doesn't even turn two years old until April. This was never an issue with Peyton. She loved her crib and never tried to get out. We moved her into her full size bed around age two to get her used to it before we had Kam. I can't believe Kam is already this big! I want my baby back! I know she will adjust just fine to a "big girl" bed, but I don't know if I'm ready! She's such a little monkey!

On Your Mark, Get Set, ...Go!

Tomorrow is the first day I am beginning to train for the half marathon that Annie, Nikki, Michelle, and myself will be running together in April. I am very nervous and intimidated by this. I feel so out of shape and unprepared, epecially coming off of all the great holiday eating, but I am ready to challenge myself. I know running with the girls will keep me motivated and inspired. This will be the longest run I've ever done. We will see just how bad of shape I'm in after tomorrow night. Wish me luck!

Happy New Year!

Wow, 2009! I can hardly believe it. We had so much fun bringing in the new year over at my cousin Annie's house. We had fabulous food and great conversation while the kiddos played. Thank you Annie and Kyle for being such wonderful hosts. I wish everyone a healthy and prosperous new year! By the way, Isabelle, Annie's youngest daughter who is 6 months older than Peyton called the next morning to talk to Peyton. When I told Peyton Isabelle was on the phone and wanted to speak to her Peyton took the phone and said, "Hey Isabelle! That was some party last night, wasn't it?" Hilarious! My girls crack me up everyday, especially Peyton.
